Here at Brisby Bordoodles our number one priority is the physical and mental health of our dogs and puppies. The parents are our pets and real farm dogs. When they're not by our side, they spend their days playing and exploring...happy and healthy. They are beautiful, registered purebreds that are genetic health tested. We strive to provide the same healthy, positive environment for the puppies. They are handled from birth and socialized and exposed to a variety of people, pets and circumstances. Our puppies are intelligent, very affectionate and confident and they easily settle into their new homes. Is a Bordoodle right for you?
It's a genius concept, breed two of the world's smartest breeds to get an ultra intelligent, obedient and loving companion. Bordoodles truly are the best of both breeds! They are incredibly smart, highly trainable, loyal and they want to please...., not to mention they love to play and cuddle and are over the top affectionate! Because of this, they make great family pets and companions.

With that being said, Bordoodles are not for everyone. They are a high energy breed and are best suited for active individuals and families or homes with access to a fenced yard, nearby dog parks or walking trails. They love hiking, regular games of frisbee, fetch or even several rounds with the herding ball.... in short, Bordoodles require regular exercise and activity to avoid bad behaviors. Some families even found it beneficial to enroll their puppy in "doggy daycare" to provide additional socialization, stimulation and exercise. It's true, the poodle DNA does help dilute the intense work drive of the Border Collie, however as with any hybrid breed, the puppy's traits can favor one parent over the other. Some puppies have a higher drive and need regular and consistent training, while others are more laid back like the poodle. Also, due to their low to non-shedding, hypoallergenic coats, they require more grooming and maintenance and their ears will need to be cleaned regularly.
At the end of the day, the Bordoodle is one of the sweetest, most loving and loyal dogs that you could ask for and I believe they could quite literally be some of the smartest dogs in the world.
